Zack's Senior Session

It was such an honor to capture this young man's Senior photos. He was so easy photograph and completely flexible with any ideas that popped up for his session.

This was my first Senior Session and I learned so much from it. It's easy to have a pose in your mind, but executing it and trying to explain it is a whole other field of communication I'm exploring. I've found it's easiest if I not only describe the pose, but show the pose on myself when trying to guide someone into a position you'd like them.

This photo is only great because Zack had the patience with me to wait 'til sunset at Sunset Point on the Mandeville Lakefront. When the sun is actually setting, every photo counts!

Zack's session wasn't finished all in one day, since I wanted to try different locations at different times. This was at the Bogue Falaya Park in downtown Covington. I don't even see a boy in this photo, but the man he's becoming. Definitely one of my favorite shots!

We did take the session to the courthouse in Covington and got a truly traditional, crisp, clean, and clear senior photos of him.

I loved playing with locations, poses, and lighting during this session and I can't wait to apply all that I learned to my future Seniors I'll be photographing!
