Northshore Humane Society : Rescue & Clear the Shelters 2019

These last two weeks have been so busy and rewarding!

On August 10th, 2019, the Northshore Humane Society rescued forty #dogs from a shelter that was closing down in southern #Louisiana. I was asked by Susie if I'd mind taking photos of all the #rescues. Of course I didn't mind, I've always had a special place in my heart for our local shelter.

I love using my #photography for #charity.

Mayor Mike Cooper made it out to the shelter to witness first hand what this organization does for the community!

With some socialization and a bit of #TLC, all of these dogs will be ready for adoption soon.

Now, coincidentally, this rescue happened just one week before the national Clear the Shelters event!

Most of the dogs that were rescued went straight into #foster homes, which I believe speaks volumes about our locals and how they are willing to open their hearts and homes to these rescues.

For the Northshore Humane Society, the #ClearTheShelters event was a huge success! There was a total of 45 dogs and cats that were adopted on August 17, 2019!

This adoption day was so busy and many found their #furever #home.

As you know by now, I love taking pictures of the beginnings of a #journey. These are all journeys to a new loving life for these animals, and I'm happy to share these images with you! It really does feel like some of these dogs are #smiling in their photos, knowing they have found their #family.

Good luck, my furry friends and enjoy your new adventures!

None of this would've been possible without the Nortshore Humane Society, so please keep them in mind when donating time, money, and your home as a foster!
