Although this is a late post, I definitely didn't want to miss out on releasing these great photos of the event!
Kelly Kicking Cancer is a foundation to raise awareness and funds to help along research on brain cancer. Kelly O'Mahoney is the beautiful soul that the foundation honors.
This year was the fourth annual Shamrock Sprint and it had a fantastic turn-out!
Chanelle Schenck, personal trainer, started everyone off with a nice quick warm up before the race.
Racers of all ages joined in and had a great time at the sprint!
Elizabeth Burris (pictured above) sang her version of "The Star Spangled Banner" to start off the event. Mayor Mike Cooper and his wife showed their support for this wonderful cause and announced the beginning of the 1 mile Fun Run.
Everyone crossing the finish line was congratulated with a shamrock bead necklace and smiles!
Also waiting for sprinters at the finish line were the Chick-Fil-A Cows!
If you're looking to get your running season going, this is a great way to 'Spring' into it and it's all for a good cause!
Hope to see you out there next year!
