These two wonderful mothers had such a sweet Mother's Day session.
When we think of gifts for mom, so often do we go for flowers, spa days (which I will definitely accept), special places to eat or visit, but not too often do we think of a photo session as a gift in itself.
This gift doesn't have to be for oneself as a mother, but span the generations. I love capturing generations of mothers because they give off such a feeling of heritage, love, joy, and many "I-told-you-so" moments which your own mother was just waiting for when you had your own children.
Monica, her sweet mother, and adorable family were able to enjoy the weather the day of their shoot. Of course, since the park was close by, her little one was ready to go play as soon as we were done (which was promised to him). He was such a trooper through the shoot and so full of energy!
Being around Monica's son and her mother, you could tell they have a very special bond.
Entering into that intimate space of relationships and truly photographing a beautiful moment is one of my favorite parts of what I do.
